Art Card by Fliss Goodwin

Hello!
I have an arty card to share this week that I actually made a while back but decided to share it this week as I love the pop of bright colour against the background.
Step By Step:
The background involves simply layering stencilling and was very easy to do. I cut a piece of thick cartridge paper to fit my chosen 5 x 7 card blank then took the mix up mask and used this with diluted yellow, pink and teal multi surface paints to add a pattern all over.
I then stamped the floral spray roughly in the centre with black ink. I took one of the gorgeous Mandala Masks and stencilled diluted Grey Multi Surface Paint on either side of the flower. As you can see, the colours underneath show through, brightening up the grey areas.
I stamped the flower again on white paper and coloured the flower heads and leaves with rose, Basil and Saffron Flat Matte Sprays. I cut out just the coloured bits and glued these on top of the flower stamped on the background.
I made a frame around the edges of the background by using one of Lynne's ever useful mark making stamps, repeat stamping on the long side as the image wasn't quite long enough. As it's a clear stamp, it's very easy to see where to stamp the extended bit.
I stamped the art text on with black ink and then added some tiny text from the atc set, stamped on black card with embossing ink and heat embossed with white powder.
I added a purple mat to the panel and glued to my card to finish.
Supplies:
White Cartridge Paper
Black Card
Purple Card
White 5 x 7 ins Card Blank
Have a great weekend and see you next week.
There are exciting happenings at That's Crafty! towers so keep an eye out for the news.
