The Start of the Christmas Rush by Amanda Southern
11:00
Hi everyone
I don’t know about you but I am the person that always
leaves Christmas
to the last minute and as such December is always one mad
rush, this year is no exception.
When will I ever learn? I have to date bought one present and made one card, can you feel my pain? So for this week’s make I have now reached the grand total of 2 cards made!
When will I ever learn? I have to date bought one present and made one card, can you feel my pain? So for this week’s make I have now reached the grand total of 2 cards made!
It will come as no surprise that I have gone down a clean
& simple route for this one and probably for the remainder that I have to
make.
Here’s What I Did:
A
couple of weeks ago I managed to have a play on the Gelli Plate and got some
backgrounds added to my stash, as with Gelli prints some are better than others
but none are wasted as they come in for projects like this where you can use
them to stamp on and cut out. The Gelli background I chose to use I had added
some design on it using bubble wrap which I thought went with the design on the
baubles.
Onto
the Gelli print I stamped the circles and coloured in the designs using acrylic
paints. I then stamped the bauble tops (they come as a separate stamp) onto
another piece of gelli print.
Next the relaxing bit, cutting them all out,
there really is something therapeutic about cutting out. Using the Stamping Platform I stamped the bauble strings and then added the baubles with 3D silicone
glue to give dimension (foam pads would work the same).
Lastly I stamped my
sentiment. Mounted onto black card and added to an 8” x 8” card blank.
Here’s What I Used:
Dina Wakley Acrylic Paints – 1oz bottle version Lemon, Magenta, Turquoise, Sky, Tangerine
3D Silicone Gel Glue or 3D Foam Pads
Christmas Sentiment stamp from my stash
Card
Blank
Thanks and I’ll see you next Tuesday
Love

I'm feeling the same pain Amanda I feel that the Grinch has stolen the last four weeks of my Christmas prep but I have to say that this has given me some great ideas for cards i've still got to make. This is superb, you've sorted Christmas in just one card.. Love it.
