Christmas Tree Hanger by Tracey Fairgrieve
11:00
Hello Crafty Friends.
Not long to wait till
Christmas... Yayyyy!!
Today I'm sharing a
little make which has been hanging around (literally) since I first got hold of
this That's Crafty! stamp set designed by Donna Gray way back in August!
An opportunity for me
to test out the Multi Surface Paints and put them to the fabric test watered
down and hand washed, yes I think we can clearly say they can be used on
fabric.
Additional detail has
been added by following those
stamped out lines
with some machine stitching.
Sewn and filled with
fire retardant wadding flat back gemstones
were attached with
strong adhesive but can also be hot fixed.
This is the stage it
had been left in. How the weather has changed since August!
I think it knew there
was new That's Crafty! Multi Surface Paints on the horizon..!
How they shimmer and
shine watered down with the Sparklers sprays.
and looking super
(even if I say so myself) frayed around
the edges and now
hung on my Christmas Tree.
Although this was
sewn on a machine, it can just as easily be hand stitched.
This is my last
Thursday That's Crafty! post of 2017 and would like to take the
opportunity to Thank
you ALL for your support over the past few months.
Wishing you all a
Magical Christmas and warm wishes on this *Winter Solstice*
I look forward to
sharing my Thursday's with you all in 2018
Warmest of Hugs
Tracey xx

DeleteA really gorgeous Christmas decoration Tracey. The painted and stitched tree is fabulous and so inspirational too. Might have to try this myself as I'm in a stitching phase at the moment too.

Thanks fliss, I have to make the most of my sewing machine when it's out as I never know when I will have the room to get it out again sadly. Not had the time to do much hand sewing this year sadly xx
DeleteThe paint works beautifully on the fabric and I love the frayed edges, it gives a 'new' decoration a vintage feel. I love it!
ReplyDeleteMany Thanks Anne, my Christmas Tree is full of handmade decs like this xx
DeleteWell what can I say, I’m really loving all this sewing although I would’ve hand sewn it as I’m a little scared of my sewing machine!! Loving all your creations lately Tracey, magical lady you :)
