Winter Sky by Donna Gray

Hi
everyone,
Donna
here today with a wintery card for you featuring one of the fab new Katzelkraft
stamps.
The How To:
First
step is to stamp the Katzelkraft figure and the Rubber Dance cloud with
Versamark ink on a piece of Strathmore Mixed Media Paper, sprinkle on white
embossing powder and then use a heat gun until the powder melts.
Spritz
the paper with a generous amount of water and then sprinkle some Infusions
(Violet Storms). Keep adding and blotting until you’re satisfied with the
colour, heat dry when finished.
As
you can see, the white embossing acts as a resist to the Infusions so you can
achieve a nice clear image still.
I
then doodled with a white pen to make it appear like she was standing on a
cliff and stamped my hand carved tree lower down in black Archival ink to
reflect this.
The
finishing touch was to add a Tim Holtz sentiment and mount onto white
cardstock.
A
wintery card perfect for this time of year….I’ve certainly had loads of
umbrellas blow inside out that’s for sure!!
Supplies Used:
Lost
Coast Stamp – Grunge Tree (substitute for my hand carved one)
Hope
you like it

I love your background Donna, just so beautiful, in blue ,and the Infusions are making amazing textures. Your -flying away - girl is so sweet, and the cloud over your gorgeous tree-stamp looks the wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSo fantastic in the white embossing, dear.

Brrrr-illiant Donna - you've cetainly got a wintery feeling. Love your handcarved tree and the quirky girl, although I was a bit concerned she was standing so close to the edge of that cliff :)
