Winter Frost by Fliss Goodwin

Hello!

As it's now December I have a mixed media piece of artwork to share with a frosty wintery theme featuring the adorable fox which is part of Melina's autumn collection but can easily be turned into an arctic fox.

Step by Step:

My chosen substrate is a landscape shadow tag which I assembled before decorating it. I brushed on a coat of Light Blue Multi Surface Paint around the edges of the tag and central area. I added a coat of Crackle Glaze and once it was tacky, brushed Chestnut Brown Multi Surface Paint over the top and crackle appeared.

I then tore up some corrugated packaging and glued this in the centre.

I painted the centre with white gesso and then added some waffle packing which had previously been misted with Blackberry and Redwood Flat Matte Sprays over the top.

I then set about adding a frosty effect using Tim Holtz Distress Grit Paste - Snowfall and Ranger Metallic White Texture Paste.

I created some embellishments for the tag, stamping the cute fox on smooth stamping card with black ink and colouring him with markers and pencils.

For the leaves I wanted to add I delved into my box of earlier prepped elements as I love stamping things onto ink spray overflow papers and cutting them out when I have spare time so I have a stash for quicker projects - necessary after hurting my hand a couple of weeks ago!

I assembled the tag layering up the leaves and adding my little arctic fox to the frame to finish.

Supplies:

Have a great weekend and see you next week.
