Instructions
The background was prepared in the same way as previous pages, with Gesso first, followed by multi-surface paints and in this instance, only a hint of walnut ink.
With the A4 Word Search Stencil, Black Pearl Ink and a damp cloth, random stencilling took place. I was obviously aware that the use of a damp cloth to stencil with, would not provide a crisp stencilled outcome.
Behind the area where the tree branches would be stamped, again with a damp cloth, this time to remove some of the painted area, creating an almost moon-like effect and it also brings another layer to the background for interest.
From the Circles Stencil, a small circle stencilled and cut out from painted cotton rag paper (I tend to keep a box of scraps which I will stencil various sized circles to have to hand).
