Sunshine Dreams by Amanda Pink

Hi Everyone
Welcome to my weekly post sharing my latest DT project. This week I have created a colourful piece of 'art on the round' using a Carabelle Studio mask called 'The Sun' designed by Alexi.
I worked on a sheet of A4 Mixed Media paper and began by drawing round the mask's circumference so I had a defined area to work within aswell as a guideline to follow when it came to cutting out the circle to adhere to the 'round'. I then coloured within this area with 3 colours of Dina Wakley Heavy Body Acrylic paint - Lemon, Cheddar and Ruby, applying them in that order working from the left of the design to the right seamlessly blending them where one colour met the next.
Once dry I positioned the mask over the painted area and applied black acrylic paint through the open areas of the design
The addition of some white pen highlights helped bring the design to life.
I then cut the circle from the A4 sheet and adhered it to a That's Crafty 6 inch White / Greyboard round. Any 'overhang' I sanded back with a nail file, painted the circles circumferences with Snowflake PaperArtsy Fresco Finish paint and mounted it onto a circle of black cardstock.
To finish off I added a couple of Tim Holtz 'Big Chat Stickers adhered with foam pads to give them some dimension.
Products I used:
That's Crafty Surfaces: White Greyboard 6 inch round.
Mixed Media Paper
Black Card
Dina Wakley Heavy Body Acrylic Paints: Ruby, Cheddar, Lemon
Black Acrylic Paint
PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Acrylic Paint: Snowflake
That's Crafty All Purpose Adhesive
White Fineliner Posca Pen
Carabelle Studio Mask: 'The Sun' by Alexi (MAR060005)
Tim Holtz Big Chat Stickers
Paint Brush
Ranger Cut n Dry Foam
Scissors
Nail File.
I hope you have enjoyed your time here with me today and that maybe I have offered some creative 'sunshine' inspiration.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by.
Wishing you all a lovely week
Take Care
Amanda
