ATCoins aren’t just for Swapping by Shellie Blow

This week I’ve been mostly singing to myself again. I love ATCoins, I love That’s Crafty! Bits and Pieces, and I love this song.

I started with a greyboard postcard which I painted with Red Multi Surface Paint, then using the Guitars stencil I added silhouettes and shaded around the edge with Fired Brick Distress ink. I outlined some of the guitars using a gold pen, then gave them dimension with Glossy Accents, and set this aside to dry.

Next I stamped the music circle from ATCoin stamp set 4 and stencilled different coloured guitars with Distress inks. I cut this to size and stuck it to a greyboard ATCoin.

Now to get creative with a guitar from the Musical Bits and Pieces sheet.

Using That’s Crafty! Pearl inks I painted a funky design straight onto the guitar, no need to prime - the inks gave fab coverage. Then I drew on the details using Sakura pens. The strings were made from cotton thread, stuck on with all purpose craft glue then trimmed to neaten.

I stuck the guitar onto the ATCoin, then stuck the coin onto the postcard. A hand-drawn bass clef and musical notes on a curvy stave, and some well chosen words added the finishing touch.
