Two for one...by Helen Chilton

For this post I've made two mini cards out of one background using Distress Oxide ink pads.
I'm using glossy cardstock for this.
Dab the first inkpad on the mat and spritz...
...then dip the card in and dry.
Carry on with other colours - I've used Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade and Bundled Sage. Dry between each layer. The effect is a cloudy background where the ink has oxidised.
Add stencilling and stamping.
Then take a baby wipe and wipe over the cardstock - the vibrant inks below are revealed.
Then I built up some more layers and wiped back again. This is a fun technique as you never quite know what the end result will be.
I cut the background in two, added stamping, stitching and embellishments to make two mini cards.
Supplies used:
Ranger Archival Ink Pad: Jet Black
That's Crafty! Dinky Stencils® and Masks: Honeycomb TC002
Glossy Cardstock: Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink Cardstock
Dina Wakley Media Kraft Cardstock
Stickles Glitter Glue: Crystal

Amazing detail on your background Helen and the black stamping is a fabulous contrast to it.
