Each Petal is a Flower Sharing Joy by Dorthe Hansen

11:00

Today is a very sad day for us, as Dorthe is leaving our DT.
She's been a treasured member of our DT and we will miss her
and her fantastic creations very much.

This sadly will be my last DT post for Laura and That`s Crafty!
I have long been fighting stress and things related to it, so
I made a hard decision, to step out of this wonderful job.
It is with heavy heart but also with the hope of feeling better,
with no deadlines in my head!!
Thank you Laura so much for choosing me and for your help
and kindness, it has been a real pleasure to be on your team and to
try out  all yours and Graham's wonderful products!

This last blogpost is created using one of the greyboard panels, to
whivh I first added a "frame " using black gesso, Crackle Glaze and on top
strokes of  Multi Surface Paint Sandstone.
You can see the gorgeous crackle it creates, in the below photos.

Then to create texture, I used the stencil Circle Line, with texture paste and
left to dry. In the meantime, using the great cardstock from the Paper Kit, I first
sprayed with Flat Matte Aqua and directly on top, mixing with a brush, diluted
Walnut Ink Crystals. It was also given a light coat of diluted white to soften
the colors.

When dry, I stamped with one of Lynne`s beautiful Wildflower stamps,
to have 3 bouquets in all. They were fussy cut and Sandstone paint dabbed
here and there to add a little light. The frame now dry, also had layers
of Aqua and Walnut Ink and helped with a brush to give more brown in some
places.

When all this had dried, I stenciled the lovely Fern in 3 places on
the panel. Doing it on top of the spray makes the Light Texture Paste
absorb the color and turn slightly pale blue as you can see.
I also used Lynnes Affirmation stamped onto a scrap of cotton fabric, dipped into the
diluted Walnut Ink spray.  It was torn and then cut into 3.
I was lucky to have a gauze piece - from dear Lynne already dyed in a lovely aqua tone
and I used a piece placed under the flowers, then they were adhered together with the affirmation.

Lastly a piece of my wonderful Sari Silk ribbon was added to the top, where I
cut a hole using the Crop a Dile.

Dear friends, I want to thank you all, from my heart, for being here with me every time
I have posted for That`s Crafty! - you have all lifted my spirit with your loving
comments and made me smile. Thank you !

I will not disappear, from my own blog, so I hope to see you there.

With hugs and love
Dorthe
