Frame It By Helen Pigott

11:00

Happy Saturday!
Today I have 4 projects for you, 2 frames and 2 ATCs
I am lucky enough to have lots of cutie pies to frame and
scrapbook, two are featured below.

I have used 2 of the 4 designs of the big tags from That's Crafty!
to make into frames today. The techniques I have used are really
simple, below is step by step pictorial to help you play along.
What I did:

I used a brayer to cover the tag with a base colour using
acrylic paints.

Then I added a second colour still using the brayer but not
completely covering the base layer.

I stencilled a tree in white,

then lightly stamped randomly all over the tag using a coloured
archival ink pad & generic script stamp (any background stamp
will do). I then measured the photograph & cut a hole where it
would eventually sit (keep the bit cut out for use later)

I painted the chipboard and stuck it in place using a wet glue.

Using Melina Dahl's new stamps sets, I stamped and coloured
some images and added them onto the frame with sticky pads. I
added some metallic paint using my finger to lightly smudge
around the edges and on small areas of the frame.
Finally I used a sticker from 13 Arts.

For the second frame I used the same techniques but changed
colours and greyboard embellishments.

I used some garden string to add interest to the wings.

Using the waste from the middle of the tags I made 2 ATCs.

What I used:

I really enjoyed these projects, they are quick, easy and simple.
Wishing you a fab Crafty weekend.
