Let Nature be your Calming Breath by Dorthe Hansen
11:00
Hello from me and welcome to another Monday with a sample
for That`s Crafty! blog.
This time using an MDF tag onto which I directly smeared Texture Paste through the
stencil - Big Floral. It was left to dry and the bird and a piece of corrugated card from Laura`s paper kit, were sprayed with diluted Walnut Ink Crystals and the paper also with the Flat Matte Basil.
Also a piece of the fabric, from the paper kit, was dyed with the Basil.
When it was all dry, onto the paper tag, I stamped a wild flower stamp
and also sewed a few stitches on my machine and on the fabric, I stamped one of Ingrid`s flowers
and one of Lynne`s Affirmations. A round teabag - a gift from sweet Donna, lace and a scrap of old silk, were also sprayed with Basil. The tea paper bag also had some lines stitched, I drew 3 eggs on paper and a find from the beach made a nest for the eggs.
The panel now dry I also gave color, using Basil and Walnut Ink and because I stenciled directly on top of the MDF, the pattern stayed very sharp, with the browner tone in the bottom.
Paper tag and bird, silk lace, nest and flower were all adhered to panel, together with
the words and a piece of Sari silk ribbon attached to to top hole.
Thank you so much for being here, it means a lot to me.
Hugs and love
Dorthe
