Batch Making Christmas Cards by Fliss Goodwin

11:00

Hello!

This week I have a tutorial for making quite a few Christmas cards in one go by creating a large sheet of decorated paper with stencils and ink sprays, the quickest way to create a background for them.

Step by Step:

I created my background on an A3 size piece of smooth cartridge paper using one of Melina's fab masks with Aqua, Lilac and Ochre Flat Matte Sprays. I repeated the misting all over the sheet until I was happy with the result.

It didn't stop there though as I was able to create a further sheet with the inky side of the stencil and a bit more misting. The end result is a bit more grungy but it still makes a fab background.

I then stamped my chosen image, a cute snowman (my favourite) on panels of white stamping card - I was able to cut the A4 sheet into 8 to fit the snowman well. I coloured the images with markers.

I cut 8 panels of my decorated paper - 6 from the main sheet and another 2 from the inky grungy one. I chose square to fit some kraft card blanks in my stash.

I stamped some greetings on ink spray overflow paper and cut mats for the snowman panels from grey pastel paper which was the best contrast.

I glued all the elements together to create my cards, inking edges in some cases to make the pieces stand out more.

A very quick way to make a batch of cards with no cutting out involved which is a real time saver.

Supplies:

Marker pens

Have a great weekend and see you next week.
