Not just a card by Shellie Blow

11:00

When is a card not just a card? When it’s also a gift.

I started by cutting a piece of cardstock at 13x13cm. I stamped the background with Versafine ink, then overstamped the floral image using versamark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Next I coloured the whole thing with Wild Honey Distress ink.

I drew around the ATCoins, then cut and stuck the circles to coin blanks. Once they were dry I lightly sanded the edges and distressed with Black Soot Distress Ink.

I then stamped 4 butterflies, sprayed them with Saffron and Blackberry Flat Matte Sprays, and dried thoroughly before spreading a light covering of 3D Gloss Gel Medium over, and left that to dry.

While that was drying I marked and cut diagonal slits into the front of a 6x6” card blank, then coloured it with the Wild Honey Distress ink.

Placing the ATCoins into their respective slots, I marked the centre point of the floral stamp on the card, then stamped the image and heat embossed in white embossing powder.

Next I made some antennae for the butterflies out of flower stamens which I coloured with black pen.

The last job was to cut out the butterflies and stick them to the ATCoins.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you liked my project.
