Hello! My name is Anne Redfern (or Redanne as I am known in blogland) and I am thrilled and honoured to have been asked by Laura to be a Guest Designer for three months. Thank you Laura!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and you are getting ready to let the New Year in.
My first project uses a That's Crafty! ATC Stack. I have a few steps to share with you.
The ATC Stack comes in four pieces, three of these are clear acrylic and they have a protective coating which you need to remove before you start.
Next, I stamped onto the thickest acrylic piece with Black StazOn ink (a nice juicy pad helps) with the Seahorse stamp by Olga Heldwein for AALLandCreate and then used Dina Wakley Heavy Body Paints in Turquoise, Lemon and Lime on the back of the stamped acrylic. Painting on the back means you do not have to be so careful within the lines!
Here is a view of the completely painted seahorse. Using the larger of the acrylic pieces gives an almost 3D appearance to the seahorse.
Products Used:
That's Crafty! Dinky Stencil - Bubbles
Prima Finnabair Art Alchemy Paint - Blue Green
Prima Finnabair Art Alchemy Paint - Teal Blue
Seahorse Stamp Set by AALLandCreate
StazOn Midi Ink Pad - Jet Black
Dina Wakley Heavy Body Paint 1oz Turquoise
Dina Wakley Heavy Body Paint - 2 oz Lemon
Dina Wakley Heavy Body Paint - 2 oz Lime
Prima Mica Flakes - Gold Leaf
Die cut foliage from my stash
Thanks so much for your visit, I hope to see you again next Monday. All that remains is for me to say is, I wish you a Very Happy New Year!
Crafty Wishes, Anne xx

Gorgeous Anneand lovely to see one of your favourite images, a seahorse for your first post. The stacks look fantastic ❤️❤️
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous stack, Anne - your seahorse looks amazing, all shimmering and dimensional (a great trompe l'oeil) and I love the sparkly mica seabed too. Interesting to see the magic powder in action - I've got some to play with, but have other stuff on my plate at the moment! Great to see you here as a Guest Designer, and I'm looking forward to more.
