Sharing an assemblage this week, most definitely a project where I utilized scraps of various papers and was another of those projects where I had no definite plan, it was playtime with a gathering of papers.

Instructions

This came about as a way to utilize small pieces of this and that which easily accumulate around me.  I know that when I reach for a That's Crafty MDF, no matter what I subsequently layer onto the panel, it will withstand it, including melted beeswax.

Onto the panel I layered eco dyed kraft paper which dyed quite a dark tone and I wasn't entirely sure how to work with it.  Simply having playtime, I decided to soak it with Bluebell to see if the paper would take on a blue tone once dry, which it did.  It was adhered to the MDF tag, before randomly stamping the circle from Textures Collection with white paint (ensuring I washed the any remainder of paint from the stamp).  I also diluted the white paint, allowing it to drip down the panel.

The next step, melting beeswax pellets in the Melt Pot (this step is optional) which was painted onto the panel and I also prepared a torn piece from a self fill teabag which was adhered to the panel with the beeswax.

To continue with the focal, onto eco dyed tag and paper, first the beautiful script was stamped with an upper layer of the beautifully, organic image (I adore this stamp!). The mottled effect was from the eco dying.
The beautiful Lustre sprays in Gold, Silver and Aubergine, were sprayed onto the panel, in this photo you can see the hints of it, also on the wooden button. On edges of the tag/papers, I dipped a paintbrush into the bottle of Lustre before running along edges.

Onto another piece of eco dyed paper (I am sure this was torn bottom edge from a tag) which I also sprayed with Lustre, was stamped with words from PaperArtsy EAB04. This piece was layered to a scrap of stained fabric, book text and more scrappy, eco dyed pieces.

Finally, a twig, dry brushed with white paint, was adhered to upper edge of tag.
I forgot to add, with a soft cloth, I buffed the beeswax on the panel to provide a soft sheen.
