Golden Feather by Samantha Read
11:00Hello! This week I'd like to share with you something I made for a That's Crafty! Hochanda show a few months ago. It's a really easy and quick make that can be made in an afternoon and it's something that can easily be adapted to different occasions by using different colours, stamps and phrases.
What I did
I began with a MDF round and covered areas with texture sand paste before painting and spraying. I painted some white card with interference paint and stamped the feather on top, a super quick way to get your stamped image coloured! I then added some gold metallic thread to the back of the feather in an arrangement I was happy with, and adhered in place after the paint and spray were dry. Some little stars, and paint splats finished the piece with a little wire and beads to hang from my stash. There - easy and quick!
What I used
That's Crafty! Surfaces MDF Round (I used the 4 inch round for this make)
That's Crafty! Clear Stamp Set Boho Vibes Set 2 (for the feather)
That's Crafty! Texture Sand Paste
That's Crafty! Multi Surface Paint Chestnut Brown
That's Crafty! Multi Surface Paint Interference Gold
That's Crafty! Lustre Spray Red
Tim Holtz Idea-ology Clippings Stickers
I do hope you like it, thanks for looking!
Wishing you a lovely day, Sam xx

This is really beautiful Sam. The background is gorgeously textured and the feather really stands out against it so well.
