I Must Have Flowers by Dorthe Hansen

11:00

My Monday post this week had to be with a flower, as
all around us new Spring flowers emerge. No, you are right, no
roses yet but then you can see mine, here :-)

Using one of the great uprights from Laura, I started painting
it with the black gesso, when dry, a coat of Crackle Paste and that had dried, I used White
on top. I stamped the beautiful rose from set no. 3 onto craft paper, fussy cut and painted
the white spots, with the lovely new Light Pink paint.

The leaf was painted too and then stamped with the leaf stamp from the same set,
to give a realistic look of leaf. I love the ribbon stamp, also from the same set and decided
to try stamping it onto white cotton. It was fussy cut and also painted with the new paint.
All was stamped with Archival Jet Black.

A scratch of music paper was adhered to the now crackled panel and a white Sari Ribbon
was formed to a bow, adhered to the panel with the rose and leaf on top.
The ribbon I formed to look as if it was tied through the panel top and a lovely
rose from my stash also adhered to the rose.

The flower had a paint of Rose and Apricot on top of the crackled surface
and onto a piece of paper, also colored with the two same paints, I stamped the
Monet quote, from Fliss`s stamp set 2.
This finished my Upright.

I hope you like the romantic feeling it brings, and wishes you
a wonderful new week, all.

Hugs and love
Dorthe
