Hello
Today, I am sharing a collage, possibly verging on assemblage, with a That's Crafty! MDF Panel as the substrate and everything else, leftovers from previous projects.

PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Paints Seth Apter Limited Edition Set 4 Spanish Mulberry and Mahogany
Distress Crayon Black Soot
Charcoal Stick
Gesso - White (That's Crafty! stock Gesso in White and Black HERE)
Extras:
Twig
Re-cycled Corrugated Cardboard

Jute Twine
Vintage Button
Collage Image - Red Lead Paperworks
Scraps of Rusted Crochet Lace (with Plaid Folkart Rust Finish Kit)
Instructions
I like to stain/paint batches at a time so I hopefully, then have a stash to dip into. For this project, I gathered such elements and directed by the colours of those elements, I then prepared the MDF panel by lightly applying Mahogany and Spanish Mulberry Frescos, almost wiping on and off.
Until next time!
Wishes
Lynne
P.S. Just to add - if you missed That's Crafty! on HOCHANDA on Friday, the new products are available at That's Crafty!

I love how you have let your pre-prepared elements dictate the colour choice Lynne, with the richness of the mahogany being so warm and inviting.
ReplyDeleteYour lady looks deep in thought, the perfect choice of sentiment. With your concertinaed papers, lace and button extras it's a delight to view.

This really drags me in , to be a part of the woman and her story, dear Lynne, -
ReplyDeleteThe amazing layers, - layers of her life , filled with good and bad, maybe sad , experiences, too- so wonderfully shown , using the different scratches, and lace, the heart , showing love in her life, and she also danced to the music - you are telling a lovely story, once again.xxx
Such a beautiful collage Lynne. The distressed and aged layers are so lovely and go so well with the collaged lady and the heart is the perfect finishing touch.
