A Handful of Stars by Bev Hilton
10:59
Hello everyone. Where did the last week
go? Well I'm here again and today I am sharing a large tag I made using the
wonderful Serena by Donna Gray and some super Sparklers by That's Crafty! You
have to have them, you need them!
Here's what I used...
Silver Metallic Card
That's Crafty! Dinky Stencils - Stars and Mock
Croc
That's Crafty! Sparklers - Blue, Lilac and Red
Distress Inks - Dusky Concord and Seedless
Preserves
Sparkle Medium
Spectrum Noir Colorista Pens - Cream, Maple,
Coral and Lipstick
Polychromo Pencils
Here's what I did...
I began with a spare piece of black
card about 360gsm. Spritz over the Sparklers with the main colour being blue,
which I dropped on in larger drops of at the end until happy with the look.
Take the Dinky Star stencil and pounce through with the Silver Starlight Metallic paint.
Take Serena and stamp her twice. On the
main image draw in the top half of her body and cut out the image. Place this
over the second image and trace round the body so that both images are the same
and cut that out too. Set one aside as she will become the finished piece. Draw
in the scoop for her top and cut it out. Take the Pink Shimmer paint and paint
her top. Place the Dinky stencil over and pounce through the Dark Orchid. Once
dry take a black fine liner and go over the outline to sharpen it and two lines
to give the look of arms. Now cut out her hair and blend the two Distress inks
to create her hair. Set these aside.
Go back to the main image and colour
her face, neck and chest with the alcohol pens. Once happy, glue on her top and
hair. Glue her onto the card. Take the Dinky flower stencil and mask off the
flowers leaving just one. Apply the Rose Quartz Sparkle Medium through to
create the flower in her hair. Take the Dream stencil and the Royal Purple Sparkle Medium and apply that to the top of the card. Set aside to dry.
Take a piece of white card and stamp
the wording from Lynne's Affirmations in Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide ink.
I wanted this cut up rather than on one line so I stamped it in stages, masking
off part of the stamp each time to give me space at the end of each line. Cut
each line and then use a brush marker in a matching colour to create the
stitching. Glue these onto the card.
Once everything was dry, glue on a few
sequins and gems and add some highlights to her face with the white Posca pen.
Add some purple eye shadow and eyebrow colour with Polychromo pencils. Mount
onto black card and then onto the metallic silver card leaving space at the top
to punch a hole for the ribbon. Die cut two rings for enforcement over the tag
hole then apply the ribbon.
All for now. Enjoy the rest of your
week and hope to see you back here next week.
Much love,
Bev. xxx
