One Stamp 2 Ways by Amanda Southern
00:00
Hi Everyone
I love the way you can change the look of your makes by
using different colours and mediums but still using the same stamp. Today I
would like to share a couple of projects using the same stamp but creating 2
very different pieces.
and
Card 1 - I first coloured 4 sections of
card with 4 different Distress inks ensuring they were big enough to take the
stamp. I then stamped the image using black Archival ink and trimmed each piece
ensuring they were all the same size. Then using a long reach circle punch I
punched out a circle from each face and then placed them in another face mixing
the colours up. From some of the card I had cut off I cut, using a heart punch
cut one in each colour and added to the image. I then put them all together
onto a piece of black card and trimmed leaving a border. I highlighted some of
the letters with a white gel pen.
To add
further interest I rubbed on some of Tim’s Remnant Rubs I use his Remnant Rub
tool for this. Finished off with a chit chat sticker and added to a card blank.
Card 2 – Again I stamped the image onto
a piece of card before adding my colour. I added masking fluid and then when it
was dry randomly rubbed it off making sure I left some behind to give my final
image a distressed look. I applied shades of brown Distress ink and then removed the
remaining masking fluid which allowed the white to show through and give me my
distressed look. I then coloured her lips using a Distress marker. The rest has
been made using scraps from my ever growing box. I cut strips of card that had
been previously coloured with Distress sprays. I stamped the circle stamp onto
some of this card as well and cut them out using a circle punch, my punch was
smaller than the stamp so I stamped the circle onto the card first so the outer
ring you can see is what was stamped directly onto the card. I mounted the
image onto a scrap of aviary wire that I had previously painted with rusty
brown acrylic paint this was attached to the card using Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher Tool. The numbers and sentiment are also from the same set. Again matted and layered onto black card and
mounted onto a card blank.
Both
cards are made using only one set of PaperArtsy stamps yet look so different.
Here’s What I Used:-
Distress Inks - Card 1 Tumbled Glass, Squeezed Lemonade, Worn Lipstick & Twisted
Citron
Card 2 Antique Linen,
Rusty Hinge, Gathered Twig & Frayed Burlap
Small Long Reach Circle Punch
Small Heart Punch
Scraps
I had previously used Distress Sprays – Ground Expresso & Hickory Smoke
Piece
of aviary wire painted with PaperArtsy Fresco paints from my stash
Circle Punch
Tim
Holtz Tiny Attacher Tool
Paper
Trimmer
Card
Blank
Thanks and I hope you like the different looks
