Hi Everyone
I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend, for those of us
in the UK the weather
was shocking so hopefully a great excuse for some crafty play. My crafty play
for you this week is a card.
was shocking so hopefully a great excuse for some crafty play. My crafty play
for you this week is a card.
Here’s what I did:-
I never
seem to be able to throw anything away and have a large box that I just throw
allsorts of bits into. The bit that I pulled out of my box was a piece of card
that I had used to clean a brayer and paint brushes off on after having used
acrylic paints. I liked the colour combination on the scrap. I wanted to stamp
on to it using the large A5 Carabelle stamp but as I only had enough of the
card for one attempt for a clean perfect stamp of the image I didn’t want to
chance it. So to get my image right I first stamped it onto a piece of tissue
paper, the tissue paper always takes the image brilliantly and gives a sharp
stamped image. I then layered the stamped tissue over the painted background
applying it with matte medium. The tissue over the painted background also gives
you a lovely soft colour. I then die cut the scribbly heart from pink card and
mounted a Chit Chat Sticker onto black card and added to the card with 3d gel
to raise it off the card.
Matted onto black card and then added to an 8” x 8” card
blank.
What I Used:-
Scrap
acrylic painted card piece – PaperArtsy Fresco Paints
Sizzix Bigshot Plus (best A4 machine in my opinion)
Pink Card

Glue
Card
Blank
Have a fabulous week and I’ll see you next week
Love
