Since We Cannot Change Reality by Bev Hilton

Hello everybody. Wednesday again already and today
I am sharing a large tag which I made a while back. I just love the Dinky
stencils by That's Crafty! and this was actually one of the first projects I
made with them.
Here's what I used...
That's Crafty! Dinky Stencils - Eye, Star Shower,
Harlequin, Raindrops, Bubbles
Brusho Crystals - Orange, Gamboge, Violet, Yellow,
Turquoise, Dark Brown
Distress Inks - Spiced Marmalade, Seedless
Preserve, Black Soot
White ribbon from my stash
Here's what I did...
I began with a piece of watercolour card measuring
6 x 7 inches. I spritzed with water and sprinkled over all the Brusho's in the
areas I wanted them and let them do their magic. I aided the drying with a heat
tool and then spritzed the card again in areas where I needed to add more until
I was happy with the look.
I then took the Dinky Eye stencil and blended
through with the Black Soot Distress ink. I then used the Seedless Preserve to
ink through the Harlequin stencil, the Spiced Marmalade to ink through the Bubbles
stencil and the white ink pad to ink a few stars. The bottom ones didn't come
out too well so I drew round them with the white gel pen.
I then took the Raindrops stencil and inked through
with the Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink. Once happy I placed the word stencil
down and applied sparkle medium through the stencil to create the word Imagine.
I set this aside to dry while stamping out my words. I cut the wording in order
to spread them out across the tag. I then glued the wording to the tag. I drew
round the words with a black fine liner pen and also directly around the
stamping. I highlighted the eye with a white geI pen and then blended the Vintage
Photo Distress Oxide around the edge of the piece before mounting on to a piece
of coloured card. I then mounted onto black card stock.
I decided to distress the edges a little so used a
distressing tool to do this before mounting onto a white card base. I snipped
off the corners and punched a hole for the ribbon. I didn't have ribbon that
would match my colours so I pressed the Distress ink pads onto my craft mat and
spritzed with water. I dabbed the ribbon through the inks and dried with a heat
tool. Perfect matching ribbon. Happy days.
I do hope you like it. Enjoy the rest of your week
and hope to see you all again soon.
Much love,
Bev. xxx
