Dreamy Lovers by Bev Hilton

Hello everybody. I am here today with a make I made
a few weeks back. When I unpacked this stencil and the negative pieces fell
into my lap I saw two dreamy lovers so had to see how I could turn that image
into a card. This was the result. Very easy to achieve and quick to make.
Here's what I used...
That's Crafty! Dinky Stencils - Hearts TC038, Star
Shower TC037, Bubbles TC005
Imagination Crafts Starlight Paint - Silver
Adirondack Ink Pad - Raspberry
Ranger Perfect Medium
Elegant Writer - Black
Glass Pebbles from my stash
Here's what I did...
I began with an A4 piece of water colour card. I
wasn't sure how this was going to be once I had my outline completed and it's
always easier to trim down at the end.
I took the two negative pieces from the butterfly
stencil and placed down the female piece as I wanted her silhouette complete. I
took a pencil and drew round the outline. I then took the male part of the
butterfly and did the same again making sure I left her silhouette in front. I
used the pencil first as the elegant writer would not have drawn around the
face of the stencil well. I then took the elegant writer and followed my pencil
lines carefully.
Now the fun part...spritz over with a good amount
of water and watch the magic. You never know what you are going to get with
these pens, they really are magic. The ink disperses and runs in a way all of
its own. As it does so you get shades of pink and blue and it looks magical as
it dries. Her face if you look carefully actually has an eye which was awesome
as it just happened that way.
Once this was completely dry (a better look if left
to dry naturally), I began blending from the outside in with the Chipped Sapphire
until happy with the look. I trimmed my card down at this point. I then took
the star stencil and blended through with the Starlight paint. I did a few
stars with the Raspberry Adirondack and then took the hearts stencil and dabbed
through with the perfect medium. I sprinkled on the embossing enamel and heated
with a heat gun. I stamped my wording and added the glass pebbles and mounted onto
pink card stock, then mounted onto my white card base.
Two dreamy lovers in the night sky. Hope you like it. Enjoy the rest of your week and see you next time.
Much love,
Bev. x
