Dare to Dream by Amanda Southern
11:00
Hi everyone
This week I have been playing with some of That’s Crafty! own
brand stamps and one of their large stencils.
Here’s What I Did:
I
started with a gelli print from my stash of prints, this was one that I wasn’t
that happy with but these are ok to use when you know you are going to cover up
a lot of it. I used one of Seth Apters stencils and stencilled Dylusions Postbox Red paint using a piece of Cut and Dry Foam.
Once the paint was dry I drew
around each piece of the stencil using a black Posca pen. I then placed the
mask part of the stencil over the background and covered up the gelli print
around it using black Archival ink also applied with a piece of cut and dry
foam. I then went around the head this time using a white Posca pen.
I then
added the stamping by heat embossing in white adding the bird of freedom and
the sentiment stamps.
I then
mounted onto black card and then added to an 8” x 8” card blank.
What I Used:
Gelli
print from my stash made using Gelli Plate, brayer and acrylic paints

ReplyDeleteGreat drama in those layers... there's something about this which reminds me of Toulouse-Lautrec - the colours and the lettering, I think. Fab!
