Groovalicious by Amanda Southern

Hi Everyone
I have a bit of a fun card for you this week using some of
the end of the year new release products that I didn’t get around to playing
with then.
Here’s What I Did:-
I
created a quick background by using the tie dye stencil as a stamp by patting
various colours of mini Distress ink pads onto the stencil, lightly misting
with water and then laying onto white card to transfer the print. Make sure
that you don’t over mist the stencil as you need to retain the white space so
on top of the stencil lay a piece of kitchen paper to catch any seepage of the
colour before removing the stencil. I love this effect.
I then
stamped the character onto a separate piece pf paper and coloured him using
coloured pencils. To make him a little more groovy I have given him a groovy
headband cut from a scrap of fabric. I also have added Glossy Accents to his
glasses.
I
stamped and coloured some of the accents stamps from the set to add a little
detail and allow me to ground him on the card. I then stamped the
‘Groovilicious’ sentiment.
Here’s What I Used:-
Mixed
Media Card (or watercolour card)
Mini Distress Ink Pads – Twisted Citron, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Carved Pumpkin
Spectrum
Noir Paper Stumps
Fabric
Scrap
Kitchen
Roll
8 x 8
Card Blank
Hope it made you smile and I’ll see you next Tuesday
