For my
first post of 2017, I played with PaperArty Everything Art stamps for this
Mixed Media/grungy panel.
Don’t
tell my sister but I ripped into a pair of her jeans for this!!! That’s not as cruel as it seems, she knew I
had the jeans, she just doesn’t know that I decided to rip into them to use for
art projects!
Supplies
Cardstock Scraps
Extras:- Calico, denim fabric
Instructions
Rip
denim to approx. size of white/greyboard panel, then adhere to panel, ensuring
edges of denim are lovely and frayed.
Swipe
some Frescos onto the panel, then lay aside for the moment.
Onto
calico, swipe Blueberry and Lake Wanaka Randomly stamp some of the Everything Art stamps, tearing into small
panels. Also stamp paint brush and paint
tubes several times.
Fussy cut the
brushes and tubes, adhering to scrap cardstock to provide stability to those
elements.
Create
a pocket with another piece of denim. Adhere to the panel, applying no Gel Medium to the upper edge. Layer the various stamped elements to this
and tuck the paintbrushes and paint tubes inside the pocket.
Adhere
a piece of the painted and stamped calico to upper edge of panel.
Finally, finish by adding some stamped Media Tape to the panel.
This
panel could be propped onto an easel, a reminder to seek courage when creating
– whether the courage to create with media that is new to you, working with
different colour palettes or the courage to accept new art adventures that come
your way.

The strong blue is gorgeous together with all the white and all the softer tones of blue, dear. As alwais I fall in love with your beautiful details, and use of words.
