Visible Image Arrives by Amanda Southern

Hi Everyone,
Exciting news at That’s Crafty! as the shop is now stocking
Visible Image stamps.
I have made a card using some of the stamps to mark their arrival at the shop
but there are others to choose from.
I have made a card using some of the stamps to mark their arrival at the shop
but there are others to choose from.
Here’s what I did:-
I
started with a piece of white uncoated cardstock and cut it to size before I
started. I then stamped the flower randomly onto the card using Versamark ink,
Versamark is usually associated with heat embossing but this technique using
this sticky ink for a different technique.
Once I had covered the card with the
stamped flower head I then applied 4 shades of Pan Pastels to create a gradient
effect. You will notice that the Pan Pastels adhere to the Vesamark making the
colour of the Pan Pastel must stronger where I have stamped. Pan Pastels blend
seamlessly into each other and you just keep repeating applying and blending
the colour until you are happy with the effect you are creating, Pan Pastels
have a range of accessories to help you apply these correctly.
You can see the effect this technique gives in this closer
look of the background
Before
stamping the flower in black make sure that you have cleaned your stamp so that
all the Versamark has been removed or else when you stamp in black ink the
sticky residue can remove the Pan Pastels. With my stamp cleaned I then stamped
the flower in black ink. I also stamped the sentiment directly onto the
background and again onto a piece of white paper.
I cut out the letters A, P
& Y from the paper and glued over the sentiment on my background. Pan
Pastels need fixing or else the colour will transfer onto other things, you can
use an art fixative or a cheap hairspray and lightly spray your work from about
20” away this will permanently seal the colour. I then mounted onto a black
card blank.
What I Used:-
Visible Image Stamps - Flower INKognito Set, Be
Happy Set
Pan Pastels – Permanent Red, Magenta, Orange & Diarylide Yellow
White
Paper
Art
Fixitive or Cheap Hairspray
Black Card Blank
Hope you like it and I’ll see you next Tuesday
