Poetry of the Earth by Jo Channon
11:00Hello Crafters!
Tuesday has come around again and it is my turn for the blog post and today I have a pretty little canvas using parchment to stamp onto.
I started off with a hard board canvas 8" x 6" and used the smooth That's Crafty! Texture Paste through the Floral Background Dinky stencil. When this was dry I coloured the background using a few different coloured Distress Oxides and then sponged over with the Pearl paint from the That's Crafty! Multi-Surface Paints. This gave a lovely gloss finish to the background.
I then went on to stamp the butterflies and the leaves and these were stamped onto parchment paper and then embossed with a glitter embossing powder to bring in a little sparkle. I also used the lace border stamp onto parchment to pop through the middle of the design to break up the background.
I cut out all the elements and then adhered them to the canvas. A few pearl flowers dotted around and some stamped words finish off this pretty little project.
I hope that you like it and that it has given you a little inspiration.
Bye for now
Jo :)
