Poinsettia Christmas Card by Alison Hall
00:00
Lately, I've been getting into
Christmas card-making mode, and when I received the Birgit Koopsen Mixed Media
Flowers stamp set no. 1 a couple of days ago, I thought it would make
a great poinsettia.
Here's what I used...
White Card Blank - 6x6 ins square
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads - Festive
Berries, Evergreen Bough
Silver Button
Here's what I did...
1. I began by stamping the Carabelle
Studio large flower and the PaperArtsy sentiment onto the card blank,
using the black ink.
2. Next, I stamped the large flower
twice, and the small flower once, onto a piece of white card, using the black
pigment ink, then I quickly applied clear embossing powder and heat set it
with the heat gun.
3. I added some of the
Distress Inks to my craft mat, then used a water brush to paint a large and
small flower with Festive Berries, and three petals of the remaining large
flower with Evergreen Bough.
4. I cut out the red flowers, and the
three green petals, and adhered them as shown, on top of the stamped flower on
the card. I added a silver button to finish.
I hope you like my simple Christmas
card design. Adding some black glitter to the flower centre would be
another option, and a bit cheaper to post of course.
