Hi Moira here and this week I have a journal page to share. The idea behind it was that having failed yet again to win the lottery, be nominated for a Nobel prize, put an end to animal cruelty, lose 3 stone, climb Mount Everest, clean the house, become Miss World, end world hunger and invent time travel to learn be content with what I have and have achieved not what I don’t have or have not achieved (at least yet).

  1. There was quite a bit of leakage through the seam on the page from the next door page so I stuck some tape across the seam and in various places on the page.

  2. Random stamping using the larger of my background stamps in black.

  3. Adding the 4 Dylusion paints moving and blending them with a baby wipe.

This knocks back the initial stamping but it is still there
  4. More random stamping with the smaller background stamps using the Archival inks which toned with the paint.

  5. Using white paint to create a dress form and Titan Biff for the face and arms.

  6. Using the Prima Water Soluble oil pastels to add some colour to the dress. At this stage I had an issue about the face, I did not have a stamp the right size and all my attempts to draw a face that small were hideous so a quick call to a pal who let me use a photo of her face instead phew!

  7. At this stage my camera lost charge so no more process pics sorry. Next stage was adding hair with black paint and although the purple doesn’t show it stops the hair looking too flat, adding a few curls with the Fude Pen.

  8. More details on the dress stamping with a pattern stamp for texture, adding shade and highlights with the Pitt Brush Pens. At this point I thought the body looked too short so extended the dress to the bottom of the page.

  9. Adding rub ons, a collage bird image and the words die cut in black card.

  10. Adding final detail with white Signo Pen on the black letters and shaking the white sharpie all over for some white splashes.
