Autumn Bunnies by Fliss Goodwin

Hello!
I have a mixed media piece of artwork to share today as the weather has turned decidedly autumnal and I thought this would warm things up with the autumn glow from the colours I chose.
Step by Step:
I prepared the large round upright with a coat of white gesso as I always finds it makes a good base for further colour. I then began painting the circle starting in the centre with Mustard Yellow applied in a rough circular shape. I then went round the edge of the yellow circle with Orange Multi Surface Paint, following up with chestnut brown on the outer edge.
I stamped a variety of leaves on ink spray overflow papers in autumn shades of oranges, golds, reds, browns and a touch of green. I used my new favourite ink again which is VersaFine Clair Fallen Leaves, a deep brown that is almost black. I cut the leaves out, making sure I had plenty so I could build up a wreath type shape.
I did the same with the mushrooms from the set, stamping plenty again to have some to use on other projects.
I stamped a large rabbit and 2 small ones on smooth cartridge paper using the brown ink. I coloured them with a mix of Zig markers and flat matte sprays then cut them out.
I then took an autumn text stamp and stamped the central area on the background panel repeatedly using orange ink and stamping twice before re-inking.
I arranged a selection of leaves around the edge of the circle and once I was happy with the look, glued the leaves down with dimensional adhesive. I glued the top section to the base which I sprayed with redwood and walnut flat matte sprays. I added the rabbits and toadstools once everything had firmly dried in place.
