With All My Heart by Amanda Southern

Hi Everyone
I hope you all had a lovely Valentine's day last Thursday, love is still in the air this week for my latest make for you and uses the Fabulous Carabelle Studio stamps designed by Kate Crane. I've also been playing again with Teabag paper to help create my background.

Here's What I Did:

As always I start with making my background so taking a piece of stamping card I inked up the Mandala stencil using Pumice Stone Distress ink just patting the ink pad all over the stencil, I then lightly spritzed it with water and laid it down onto the stamping card ink down. I then dabbed all over with a piece of kitchen towel to collect any water that seeped under the stencil.

The ink on the first print was quite bold (top piece) and as I wanted a more muted transfer of colour I misted the ink that was left on the stencil and took another print (bottom piece). The top piece got popped into my 'I'll come back to that' box to be used in another project.

Next was to add my rolling hills which I cut from teabag paper using a rotary cutter freehand. I edged the hills with the pumice stone distress ink before getting my sewing machine out and stitching them onto the stencil printed background. I then cut the background to size.

I then stamped a selection of images from Kate Cranes Carabelle Studio stamps using a Smokey Grey Versafine ink pad, coloured them using neutral coloured pencils with a touch of red for the heats. They were then all cut out. The next step was to build the scene on the background with my stamped and cutout images.

A little bit of vintage lace and vintage buttons were added to add a little bit of texture detail and the words are one of Tim's clippings stickers.

To finish it was mounted onto kraftcard and added to a card blank.

Here's What I Used:
