Bright Florals by Helen Chilton

I thought I'd make something bright and cheerful for these grey January days!
I've always loved working on glossy card as you get vivid colours and sharp, crisp images. I'm using Distress Inks here and letting the three colours meet and mix.
Then using some of Tracy Scott's stamps, I've stamped randomly over the background in the same colours:
After that I used my stamp positioner to stamp flowers and leaves in black (and no, I don't keep my stamp positioner clean!)
I then wanted to add more colour to the flowers so decided to try the Jane Davenport paint pens - I liked that effect, opaque enough to show definite colour, but still able to see some of the background through.
Then add white highlights:
A black frame and some text finishes it off.
Bright cards like this just make me happy!
Supplies:
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads: Picked Raspberry, Broken China, Mustard Seed
Ranger Archival Ink Pads: Jet Black
Jane Davenport Mixed Media 1 & 2 Paint Over Pens
Posca Pens: White
Glossy White Cardstock
