Strange Fascination by Donna Gray
11:00Hi everyone,
It's Donna here today with a simple card for you.
What I Did:
I used a C6 Kraft card for this continuing on with my current obsession of using Kraft card of course.
For the middle panel I cut a rectangle from a Gelli print I had in my stash. Sometimes you look at a Gelli print and you don't like it as a whole piece but you can use just parts of it so don't throw them away! This was added to the middle of the card with foam pads.
I then added a bit of frayed Calico over the panel and added a threaded coconut button and a little fabric flower from my stash that I sewed through and left the spare thread dangling.
Now onto the star of the card which is the eye and it's one of the fab stamps from AALL and Create. I stamped this onto a scrap of brown parcel paper and coloured it in with undiluted Distress Markers and added it to the card with a couple of foam pads for extra dimension.
The finishing touch was to add a sentiment from Tim Holtz and there you have a simple but 'eye catching' card.....yes I know, bad pun alert ;)
Supplies Used:
AALL and Create Stamp Set - Set 23
Kraft Cardstock
Tim Holtz - Distress Markers
Tim Holtz - Clippings Stickers
Archival Ink - Black
Gelli Plate - 6x6
Coconut Button
Brown Paper
Calico fabric
Hope you like it

A very clever and strangely fascinating card Donna. The eye on kraft is so striking against the pretty background strip.

I agree with Fliss, this is truly very fascinating , dear Donna,- the blue eye with your details is gorgeous, and the tag behind, with all blue accents, is the perfect background for it . Love your card art piece- lovely lady !!Sending you Sunday hugs- thank`s for the pm- dear friend.
