Simplicity by Donna Gray

Hi
everyone,
Donna
here today and I thought I’d dig out the Brushos for a little change. All the colours will be back in stock very soon at That's Crafty!
What to do:
Use
a sheet of Strathmore Mixed Media Paper for this as you’ll be using quite a bit
of water to dilute the Brushos.
First
up, stamp Tim’s wildflowers with Versamark and emboss in white, heat set. This
will act as a resist to the Brushos.
Sprinkle
on a mixture of Brushos (stick to the light colours) and spritz with a good
blast of water, dab with a kitchen towel and dry thoroughly.
Use
a mixture of Tim Holtz and Katzelkraft stamps for added interest in the
background with black Archival ink.
Trim
to size, mount onto black card and then white cardstock.
Beauty
in simplicity ;)
Supplies Used:
Brushos (back in stock very soon)
Tim Holtz Stamp Sets – Wildflowers, Tiny things and Perspective
Hope
you like it

You got that right...there's beauty in simplicity! I've done that emboss resist and love how that works. Those Brushos look pretty cool. I'm studying your technique with them. :-) Perfect added black details. You always come up with unique and original designs. I love how your creative mind works!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful Brusho background and lovely resist effect! I have yet to try my Bushos on Strathmore MM paper so I'll have to try that now. Thanks! xx
