Infusions/Lin Brown PaperArtsy Stamps by Nikki Acton
00:00
A few weeks ago I went to Stamperama and saw Lin Brown demonstrating
with her stamps and Infusions. While not exactly the same as her designs these
are very much based on her creativity!
These 2 cards started the same, but one went a little wrong! The one
on the right is a single layer with the border created with masking tape for
the Infusions stage. The card on the left didn’t quite go to plan to I cut the
border off and matt and layered.
I began with 2 colours of Infusions – Sunset Beach and Violet Storm. I
sprinkled a very small amount of each on my cards and sprayed lightly with
water so the ink did not pool too much. I then dabbed with kitchen towel.
Once completely dry I stamped with Archival inks. I used 3 stamps from
PaperArsty ELB30 – the large grasses, the text stamp and little dots. The small
circles are from ELB29. To finish I
added a Happy Birthday sentiment from my stash – this is an old Tim Holtz stamp
but a good alternative would be Emma Godfrey’s mini stamp set EEG18.
I am still practising with Infusions – and I confess a few went in the
bin before I did these – but I do love the result they give.
See you next
week!
Nikki
