Hope Journal Page by Fliss Goodwin

00:00

Hi there, I have a journal page to share this week featuring one of my newly acquired Carabelle Studio stamps and revisiting a technique I haven’t used in a while, faux batik.

Ingredients:

Carabelle Studio A6 Stamps – Elfe, Fleurs D’Azoline – Les Danseuses
Ranger Archival Inks – Fern Green, Olive
Distress Inks – Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron
Extras – Iron, Scrap Paper

Recipe:

Stamp the spiky flower from the set around the edges of the journal page with the Versamark ink and emboss the images with the clear powder.

Next stamp the elf in the lower left corner with the olive ink then colour with pencils until you’re happy with the effect.

Ink around the edges of the page with the pink ink, blending over the flowers towards the elf image. Add some lemon ink to fill the remaining space around the image. Swipe the edges with the citron ink and then stamp on some more flowers with the same ink.

Use the stencil to add text near the top of the page with the fern ink and then stamp the hope text on with the olive ink.

Place scrap paper over the top of the embossed flowers and iron with a dry iron to remove the embossing powder. Sponge on a little more citron ink to bring out the flower pattern to finish.

Have a great weekend and see you next week.
