A project with a Christmas tinge to it although the
message is one that can be carried throughout the year.
The stamped angel, from Oxford Impressions (an all
time favourite stamp) has been given a golden wing courtesy of a Relics and
Artifact.
Supplies

Extras:- Small wood frame, rusty tin wire, scrap of
gold mop up paper
Instructions
After applying Gesso to substrate, apply clear texture
paste to stencil, consider composition before steaming ahead with the
stenciling. Once dry, paint substrate
with metallic acrylics and Distress Stain Sprays.
Apply metallics to scrap cardstock and book text. Stamp Finnabair circles, stained glass circle
(stamp twice, fussy cutting a central circle and layering for dimension),
Oxford Impressions angel and sentiment. Fussy cut circles, adhering Finnabair circles to panel. Layer the stained glass circle behind the
angel. Tuck a small piece of mop up paper behind angel image.
Paint a small
wooden frame before layering over one of the words.
Paint a R&A wing with Distress Stain Sprays. Adhere to panel as though it is the angel’s
wing.
If choosing to hang, create holes in substrate,
threading through rusty tin wire to form a hanger. Pliers or jewelry tools can aid you to coil
ends of wire.
It can be a difficult time of the year for so
many. Whether you are seeking joyful
times during the festivities or a time to reflect on that which has passed, I

here today with my final make for 2016 and of course it just had to be another
Christmas one ;)
What to do:
This
was a great way to use up some scraps again. The background is a Gelli print
using DecoArt paints, while applying a Tim Holtz Christmas stencil over it and
using a red Distress Ink pad, pounce through the words.
Have
you noticed how thick the cardboard is on the back of the Strathmore Mixed
media pad? Don’t throw it away, it can be used for so much, cut it down to size
and adhere the background to it, it’s really sturdy and won’t warp.
Take
a sheet of the Strathmore paper and stamp Serena with black Archival ink. I
used Zig pens to colour her in but Distress Markers are just as lovely too. I
drew the Santa hat and elf collar but I’m sure everyone has a Santa hat in
their stash somewhere ;)
Once
you’ve coloured everything in, fussy cut out and stick to the front of the
background. Add some snowy dots with a white pen, some bling from your stash,
some Stickles and some Frantage in the bottom corners to look like piled up
snow.
Use
a Crop-a Dile to punch 2 holes for hanging at the top, thread some twine
through it to hang as a Christmas ornament.
All that’s left for me to say is a very
Happy Christmas to everyone and I really hope that my lovely teamies and I have
inspired you all to get creating in different ways this year. Oh and I hope
that Father Christmas has been to the craft shop for you….that’s the most
important thing ;)

there, as this is my last post before the big day at the weekend, I have a card
to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas featuring a rather cute Bentley in his
Santa hat.
Ingredients:

Recipe:
My
green paper actually came from my bits box and was made by swiping the green
and gold paints over a thin sheet of A4 card with an old credit card, carrying
on until I was happy with the effect.
I
used the snowflake stencil with the Versamark ink to apply a pattern to my
green and gold paper, heat embossing the snowflakes with white powder. I also
added some swipes with the inkpad, which I embossed with the white powder. I
then distressed the edges and added the paper to the card blank.
I
stamped Bentley on stamping card with the black ink and coloured him with
watercolour pencils, trimming the image to a rectangular panel. I stamped the
Santa hat on a scrap of card, coloured with watercolour pencils and cut out
leaving a fairly thick border, which I painted grey. The thicker border ensured
that The hat would cover up Bentley’s top whiskers.
I
next stamped the wish text directly on the image panel, and then added it to a
mat of glitter card. I glued the panel on to the card blank to finish.

back with the last guest design post. I thought long and hard about what I was
going to make for my final post and figured that you might be totally
Christmas-ed out so I decided to create a pocket letter. Many of you probably
heard of pocket letters, but it might be something new to you.
For those who are not familiar
with the subject, pocket letters are a form of a happy mail. You’d send a
pocket letter to your crafting buddy. The idea is to create little pockets in
which you can include your letter or a note to your friend and fill other
pockets with little goodies like fun clips, buttons, washi, sequins, die cuts,
ribbon, stickers and anything else you want to your friend to have. I think it
is a wonderful way of letting your crafty friend enjoy some of your craft stash
and play with things they might not have.
There are a few ways of
creating pocket letters. You can combine and decorate envelopes and make an
envelope flip book, you can take a sheet protector for collectors’ cards and
fill those or you can make your own, like you will see me today. It is up to
you to decide what is best for you and there is not a right or wrong way in
this case. You can even create and decorate your own sheet of A4 card and cut
it up into small ATCs to fill the pockets with, if you don’t have or don’t want
to use ready-made project life cards like I did.
I wanted to focus on showing
you how to use the We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool with some of their other
products, in case you find this a fun way to exchange little treasures with
your friends and want to try it.
Here’s a little step-by-step for you…
Step 1: Prepare your Clear
Sheets (12 x 12”), the Fusible Pattern paper and pre-heat the Fuse Tool. You
can buy a mat for it (don’t use the fuse tool on your craft mat as you can say
goodbye to it afterwards). I use a piece of a chipboard that came with my
flat-packed furniture to put under the sheets to fuse it. It works great!
Step 2: Take a selection of
Project Life cards and select your favourites. I chose a few in similar colours
and tones that I thought went well together. Also, keeping in mind it will be a
pocket letter for my friend, I selected a few cards with fun messages on them.
If you don’t have such cards, you can stamp or write on them, add stickers…
Step 3: Secure the two clear
sheets on top of each other with a washi tape and use the ruler to guide you
when fusing. It is a good idea to move the fuse tool fairly slowly to give it
time to do its job. If you do it too fast, the sheets can come apart, if you do
it too slowly, you will make a hole in the sheets. You can practice on a small
piece first to get a hang of it.
Step 4: I measured the size of
my card by placing it on top, then use the ruler to fuse. You will also need to
make slits for your pockets. Place the chipboard in between the sheets, then
cut so that you only cut through the top sheet, remove, then make another pocket
and so on until your entire layout is done.
Step 5: I decided to alternate
the cards horizontally and vertically and to create extra small pockets for
sequins and beads.
Step 6: In the end I added a
few stickers, created my little banner embellishment with sequins and added a
few bits and bobs. I also added some word stickers. I’m ready to fill the front
and back of the pockets with goodies for my friend and to write my special
note. Once done, simply fold, pack and post! The pink paper behind the pocket
is only for the photography purposes so that you can see it better.
I even made a little butterfly
clip using pattern paper, a die cut word, the fuse sheets with the tool and
some chunky glitter. You can use the clip to hold it all together once folded.
It is a lovely embellishment for any diary too. I will have a separate tutorial
on my
youtube channel to show you how you can make these pretty
butterflies.

Hi Everyone! I hope you're all ready
for Christmas! Just in case you still need a quick Christmas card, I've a very
clean and simple one to share with you today.
Here's what I used...
Distress Ink Pads - Evergreen Bough,
Spiced Marmalade, Festive Berries
Here's what I did...
1. I inked up the Tim Holtz tree stamp
with the three Distress colours, lightly misted it with water, then stamped it
on white card. I then dried it with a heat gun.
2. Next, I stamped the Emma Godfrey
phrase with black archival ink beneath the tree.
3. I trimmed the image, mounted it onto
black card, then onto a 5x5 inch white card blank.
Ultra-simple! I hope you like my little
rainbow watercolour tree. I made a few of these very quickly.

Hi everyone
With Christmas only a matter of days away for most of us
there are those around us that don’t celebrate it at all and it’s also nice to
remember them at this time of the year. With that in mind I have made a Happy
Everything card instead of a Christmas card and kept with the traditional red
and green of Christmas.
Here’s What I Did:-
I have
kept this one clean and simple but there is a lot of masking off to layer up
the stamping. I first stamped the central flower in black archival ink and once
the ink was dry I masked off the image with masking fluid. I then stamped the
other 3 Azoline designed stamps onto post it notes and cut them out these cut
outs I will be using to allow me to build up the stamping behind the central
flower. Once I had stamped and masked them I rubbed off the masking fluid.
The
colouring of my image was done using alcohol markers and shading added with
coloured pencils.
I
splashed slightly diluted white Dylusions paint over the lot and then stamped
my ‘Happy Everything’ sentiment.
Mounted
onto black card and then onto a card blank.
