Seth Apter – Stamps, Dies and Paints by Nikki Acton

00:00

I was lucky to be asked to make a few samples with the new Seth Apter paints and stamps from PaperArtsy so I thought I would share one of the designs with you today.

If you missed the details of the new release you can find it on my blog
 including PaperArtsy’s release video.

The colours used here are Key Lime, Terracotta, Buff and Midnight.

I took 2 sheets of card and built up layers of paint – add one colour, don’t cover the card completely, let dry and add another – building it up so all the colours show. For one piece I started dark and for the other I started light – so they end up slightly different although use the same colours. One piece formed the base of the card and the other the square frame. I also created a third piece sponging terracotta and then midnight – this is the yellow you can see on the die cuts and central portion.

To create the central square I stamped the square stamp from ESA03 and used a circle framelit to cut out the middle. I then stamped the circle with words from ESA04 on the terracotta coloured card to go underneath the square. I used the rest of this card to cut some rectangles and squares using Spellbinders Robo Bar and Robo Square dies.

I arranged them all on the base panel and used foam pads to raise the central feature a little.

See you next week!
