Memories by Donna Gray

Hi everyone,

Donna here today using one of my favourite things – an acrylic stack.

What to do:

Apply a coat of white Fresco paint onto the MDF part of the stack, this is your base layer. Dry thoroughly and then using a brick effect Dinky stencil, pounce through some brown Distress Ink covering the whole of the background. Then stamp the Tim Holtz stamp onto the background using black Archival ink.

On the next layer which is acrylic, stamp the Carabelle flowers at the top and the PaperArtsy flowers just underneath the ‘arm’ of the stamp, Colour these in with Posca pens, you can also use acrylic paints too. Remember to only use Stazon ink for the acrylic layers as anything else will smudge.

Next acrylic layer is where the PaperArtsy butterfly is stamped in Stazon, once again colour with Posca pens.

For the final acrylic layer, stamp the Tim Holtz hashtag sentiment. Assemble it all together with the fittings that are supplied and there you have a quirky (yes I know, what else could it be)…..piece of acrylic art ;)

Supplies Used:

Tim Holtz Stamp Sets – Sideshow and Hash Tags
PaperArtsy Stamp Sets – Kay Carley EKC02 and for the butterfly use Hotpick 1602
Posca Pens

Hope you like it
