Don’t Mess With The Queen by Amanda Southern

00:00

I’m trying to use stamps that I haven’t inked for ages or ashamedly never inked at all! This card uses one of the fabulous Lynne Perrella stamps by PaperArtsy which I have inked for the first time to make this piece!!!

What I did:-

Starting with a piece of mixed media card I sprinkled on some Brusho Crystals in blue and orange allowing them to mingle slightly. I didn’t want to cover the entire piece so I left some white spaces. A quick blast with the heat gun dried the Brushos. I then used coordinating Distress inks and stencilled them onto the white spaces which filled up the background with more colour. I then added some stamping to my background using the same colour palette, again the stamps are from Lynne Perrella. Using gold embossing paste I added some stencilled texture, the dots and the flower and then left it overnight to dry. Onto a separate piece of mixed media card I stamped my main image and coloured with Spectrum Noir colouring pencils.

The final addition was the feather created using paperclay in a mould and when dry (overnight) painted and highlighted with gold gilding wax. Last touch was to add my stamped sentiment. I then mounted onto blue card and added to an 8” x 8” card blank.

What I Used:-

Brusho’s – Blue & Orange
Distress Inks – Faded Jeans & Spiced Marmalade
Ranger Dye Inks – Blue Ribbon & Cheese Puff
Tim Holtz Stencils – Dot Fade & Lattice Work
Crafters Workshop Stencil – Cornflower 6” x 6”
Gold Embossing Paste
Sentiment Stamp by Wendy Vecchi from my stash
Blue Card
Card Blank

Thanks and see you next week

Love
