As you will have seen yesterday on this blog, That’s Crafty! have added to their MDF range to include some wonderful storage solutions and who of us doesn’t need more storage? I received the storage solution for holding the Dina Wakley paint collection and have had a ball decorating it using all things fabulously Dina.
Here is the finished box holding the Dina paints.
Just to warn you this post now gets very photo heavy but hopefully you’ll stay with it to the end!!
Hopefully you’re still with me.
Here’s What I did (Briefly after all those photos!!)
I first brayered a light covering of gesso over all the MDF pieces and then brayered on several colours of Dina’s paints in a totally random manner. I then constructed the box, which is very simple as it just slots together held in place with a touch of Cosmic Shimmer glue. I then decorated each side. You could easily decorate it before slotting it together.
As the photo’s show I have used loads of Dina Wakley products, well it is a Dina Box. I have painted, stencilled, splashed, splodged paints and texture paints to my hearts content and loved every minute of it. All the stencils I have used are from That’s Crafty! range of Dinky stencils and there are some new designs in there, in particular the Dinky brick surround stencils that I have used to frame some of Dina’s Gals stamps.
Some of the stamping has been on tissue and applied with matte medium, some onto white paper and some of the stamping is directly onto the MDF.
The final photo shows how the paint stores in the box and could also be used to hold any paint tubes of a similar style.
What I used
Old credit card to add lines
Paint brush to flick paint from
Hope you like it and are looking forward to more of the storage solutions to be featured here all this week. The team have created some wonderful designs on these fabulous new storage solutions.
What will you do on yours?
See you next Tuesday
