Hello everybody. Bev here on the blog
today. I can't believe it's Wednesday again already. Where did the last week
go? If you know me well, you won't be surprised to see me filling a hole in a
great stencil with all things good. So today I am sharing my make using the
awesome Marina from the Deep Sea Divas stamp set by Donna Gray.
Here's what I used...
Distress Oxide Inks - Cracked Pistachio, Broken China and
Fossilized Amber
Posca Pen - White
Sakura Stardust Pen - Red and Orange
Polychromo Pencils
Wink of Stella - Clear - Spectrum Noir is a good alternative
Here's what I did...
I began with a piece of 9x9" card
and taped my stencil in place. I then decided where I wanted my mermaid and
stamped her in place. I did the same with the fish which I stamped three times.
I also stamped my images onto masking tape and placed over my images to protect
when blending my background.
I blended the Distress inks onto my
card to create the sea. Once I was happy with the look I removed the stencil
and then carefully removed the masking tape to reveal my images.
I then coloured my images with pencils
and then went over Marina with the Wink of Stella to add some soft sparkle. I
trimmed down my card a little before taking the Dinky Fossil stencil and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide and blending around my card. I stamped my
wording in black ink and the starfishes in Watering Can for a softer look. I
felt Marina needed some beads for her necklace so opted for Enamel Accents. I
dotted three tiny drops of enamel which finished the look nicely.
I mounted my make onto black card stock
and then onto a piece of orange card before mounting onto white card base.
I hope you like it. Enjoy the rest of
your week and see you all back here for my weekly Wednesday spot next week.
Much love,
Bev. xxx
