A Trio of Mini Christmas Art Panels by Amanda Pink

 Hi Everyone,

After creating the Christmas cards I shared here on the blog last week I seem to have got the Christmas creativity bug and have a few mini Christmas themed art boards/cards/gifts to share with you today.

When I set out making these they were going to be just regular Christmas cards which they would be lovely as but so far into the creativity I decided to make them into  art boards that you could either send instead of a card or give as a gift that can displayed as a mini piece of seasonal decor and then kept to display again next year.

They are super quick and easy to make as they are primarily made of ready made elements -some of Tim Holtz 2021 seasonal Pocket Cards and Collage Tiles.

The art boards themselves are 3 That's Crafty! 4x4 white/greyboard panels, one I cut down in size . These along with 3 That's Crafty! Craftyboard Twinchies were painted with a couple of coats of PaperArtsy's 'Chalk' Fresco Finish acrylic paint. When dry the sides/edges of all 6 pieces were caught with Tim Holtz Ground Espresso Distress ink.

The next step was deciding which of Tim Holtz Pocket cards and Christmas 2021 Collage Tiles I was going to use.
This was probably the hardest bit as there are so many to choose from!!
The pocket cards of which there are 55, each have a different design on either side of the card. There are also 3 different sizes of card which actually helped a little as I knew I could eliminate the smallest size card from my selection as it wouldn't 'fit' my art board designs.

In the pack of collage tiles there are 72 tiles in the pack 2 each of 36 designs (one sided) so with both the choice struggle was 'real'!

After much deliberation I decided this time to go with a couple of the pocket tiles (medium and large) that both had the same seasonal poinsettia/holly print on one side and two matching collage tiles that had a 24th Dec design and one that had Santa on it.

With my selections made it was then just a case of cutting the pocket cards down to the size I wanted   distressing the edges with Rustic Wilderness and Ground Espresso Distress ink, matt n layering each of them on a 'Chalk' painted square of card and brown card then adhering them to each of their allotted art boards.

It was much of the same for the collage tiles too. They were matt n layered onto a die cut square of kraft stock (the reverse side of a piece of Tim Holtz Metallic Kraft stock) adhered to each of the   painted Craftyboard twinchies and mounted on a square of dark brown card.

To finish, the tiles took their place in the centre of each of the art boards with a Tim Holtz 'Occasions' clipping sticker added beneath.

Have a wonderful creative week
Take care
