Spooky Time by Donna Gray

Hi
everyone,
Donna
here today with something a little bit spooky for you.
What I did:
I
used a piece Clarity Silk card for this which is really lovely but you could
use any other coated card but not too glossy as it will stick to the Gelli
plate and you really would not want that!!
Scribble
onto the Gelli plate a couple of colours of Distress Markers, then press the
card down, you’ll end up with a lovely
mottled and subtle effect for a background.
Next
I used one of the fab new Thinlits dies from Tim Holtz to cut the house, moon
and bats from the set. These were cut from a piece of Gelli printed paper that
had been left over from using DecoArt paints.
I
adhered the die cuts to the background (I added the little face in the window
looking out of the window before doing so of course) and started colouring in
the windows with a black marker and added some doodling with a white Posca pen.
I
added the little boy from Tim’s Ancestors Dolls after colouring him a green
shade with a Distress Marker.
Final
touch was to add some spooky text from Tim’s Halloween’s Clippings Stickers,
mount onto black and then white cardstock.
I
can’t think of any reason why they wouldn’t have lots of visitors knocking on
the door……can you?!
Supplies Used:
Clarity Card
Hope
you like it

An absolute stunner Donna! The background is amazing and the haunted house so beautifully altered up. The little boy is an inspired element too.

UHHH ,I´m sure those spiders, with such big webs, would catch me before reaching the door, Donna :-) This is so wonderfully spooky , and truly the moon-man helped that poor boy away from it all , only to put him back when morning arrives :-) Fantastic colors, and you are such a master in using the white pen for details, everywhere. I love the bats and that golden sky too, and of course they had to lit the light, to see where the little Mr, disappeared !! Another gorgeous creation !!!

Wowza Donna. This is stunning. Love it and the clever use of the white pen makes it look glossy in the picture. Real Halloween yumminess for sure.

That little fella has the best seat sat on the moon, I think that's right where I would want to be around your spooky house. Super background Donna, not tried distress markers on the Gelli plate before but it's given a great effect.

I really love that subtle sky - beautiful - thanks for the technique tip. And your haunted house really does look uncanny in those queasy colours. Love the little chap up in the moon too - a fabulous spooky make.
