Happy Thursday and Thanksgiving to friends and family celebrating.

Here is another quick card created using off cuts and odds and ends

to celebrate the day.

Onto a Gelli print off cut edged in machine stitch I attached string

coated in Green paint using mini staples creating a circular wreath shape.

Left over greyboard leaves from a previous project painted in That's Crafty! paint

worked perfectly as decoration layered around the string wreath.

With a Tim Holtz Small Talk sentiment to mark the day

this completes my Thanksgiving Card.

A very simple card to create with both sentiment and wreath

decorations easily adapted for all occasions.

Whatever your day I Wish you all a day full of health, family and friends

and especially to those across the pond..

Hi everyone,

Donna here today with a Brusho and Carabelle flower card for you, I thought I’d have a little play with the Brushos’ for a change.

What To Do:

Take a sheet of Strathmore Mixed Media paper, spritz with water, randomly sprinkle on a mixture of Brusho colours, dab with kitchen roll, dry with heat gun. Keep going until you’re satisfied with the background….remember less is more!

I used a messy writing stamp from Prima which I don’t think is stocked now but I’ve listed an alternative in the supplies list, stamp randomly onto the Brusho background.

Take a flower Carabelle stamp, stamp twice on separate white card with black Archival ink, fussy cut them out (one of the flower stamped images has been cut in half) then mount onto the background using glue.

Finishing touches include another Carabelle stamp for the ‘stem’, a brad for the centre of the flower and a Tim Holtz small talk sticker sentiment.

Hi everyone,

Donna here today with a yummy new stamp set from Rubberdance and my beloved Oxides….again ;)

What to do:

I used two sheets of Strathmore Mixed Media Paper for the background and the owls.

Layer up the Oxides by dabbing a selection of colours on your craft mat, spritzing with water and blotting with the paper, keep going until you’ve achieved the effect you want, dry thoroughly with a heat gun.

Stamp the owls on the other piece of paper with black Archival ink and once again dab some Oxides onto your craft mat but this time pick them up with a water brush to colour the owls in. Add some white dots with a Posca pen and some sparkle from a Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen.

Fussy cut the owls out, very carefully of course, and adhere to the front of the background.

For the finishing touches, stamp a couple of Rubber Dance flowers and leaves, I used my Zig pens to colour those in but anything will do, fussy cut out and adhere to the top and end of the branch.

Mount onto black card, then white cardstock and add a Tim Holtz sentiment, some pearl bling and you’re owl finished, sorry ;)

Hi everyone

I have been playing with marbling effects again, this time on a #10 MDF tag and using paints.

Here’s What I did: -

I seem to be fascinated, at the moment, with recreating marbling effects. I created marble effects using the shaving foam technique a couple of Tuesdays ago, this time I have been playing again but this time creating the effect with PaperArtsy Fresco paints. I chose to use the 4 new colours from Seth Apter which come in a pack of 4.

I didn’t pre treat the MDF but lightly sprayed it with water. I then placed several puddles of paint around the MDF and lightly sprayed each paint puddle. Too much water and the paint goes to thin and runs off, not enough water and the paint doesn’t mix so it’s a case of experimenting a little. If it goes wrong just wipe it off, dry your MDF and start again. In order to get the marbling effect, I just drag and swirl the colours into each other using a cocktail stick, keep moving it around until you are happy with the effect. If there are patches that you don’t like, dry the piece off with a heat gun and repeat over the top, I had to do this in places to get the depth of colour.

I then stamped and heat embossed using silver embossing powder using stamps designed for PaperArtsy by Tracy Scott. I coloured some of the stamps using wax based coloured pencils. You can’t see very well, but a lot of the circles have been filled with Glossy Accents which makes them shine and slightly 3D.

I felt that the silver embossing was a bit dull so I went over all the embossed stamping with a chrome pen (I love those pens they are like writing with liquid chrome) I stamped the Destiny definition stamp which is a Lost Coast Design stamp from my stash. Fortunately, the ink wiped off the embossing to make it look like it was underneath all along! Finally, just a saying from Tim Holtz small talk stickers.

Donna here today with a seriously groovy cat for you…don’t you think it has a retro sixties vibe going on?!

What to do:

Stamp the images on Strathmore Mixed media paper with black Archival ink. For the colouring, I used my Zig pens but you can use Distress Markers, Promarkers or pencils….anything really that you’re comfortable with.

Fussy cut out and place to one side.

Next, take a piece of thick black card and a white pen, start doodling with it to create the flower stem etc. If you use a Posca pen for it you can also use it for the little splatters you see here too, just give it a firm smack!!

Adhere your cut images to the card, add a Tim Holtz sentiment and mount onto white cardstock.

Hi everyone,

Donna here today with another favourite butterfly stamp of mine.

What to do:

Use a size 8 manila tag, apply a layer of dark Fresco paint to the entire tag, heat dry. Next scrape a thin layer of Crackle Glaze over the paint (use an old credit card for that) thoroughly heat dry.

Dab a lighter shade of Fresco paint over the glaze using a piece of cut and dry foam, heat dry.

Applying the final layer of paint with a piece of foam makes the cracks more delicate so is better for stamping on, for larger cracks apply with a brush or old credit card.

Now start stamping your images directly on to the tag using more muted tones of Archival inks for the background, in greys and browns.

For the butterfly, stamp the image on a piece of Gelli print scrap paper and fussy cut out, adhere to the tag.

Finishing touches are adding a little black Distress ink around the edges of the tag and then add a Tim Holtz sentiment and number.

Now the problem is to stop myself adding this fab butterfly to everything!

Hi everyone,

Donna here today with a smiley little monster jumping for joy…..monster’s have feelings too you know!!

What to do:

Take a sheet of Strathmore Mixed Media Paper and cut to size to fit comfortably on a 6x6 card.

Stamp everything but the flower directly on the paper with black Archival ink, place the monster just above the ‘ribbon’ to make it look like he’s in mid jump. Stamp the flower separately, fussy cut out and put to one side for now.

Start colouring in with a mixture of Distress Markers and a water brush…..your monster can be any colour you like of course.

Once you’ve coloured it all, adhere your little flower and add a Tim Holtz Small Talk sentiment, mount on black card and then white cardstock.

I wondered how my That’s Crafty! clear stamps would work with the little monster, I think they fit together perfectly ;)
