For
this week, I dipped into Infusions….once again!
This time not only to stain the Alterables Surface and calico but also
used to stamp the focal image.
Supplies
Infusions:-
Black Knight, The Sage, Golden Sands, Orange County, Lemoncello
Crop-A-Dile
(or similar hole punch)
Extras:-
Calico, tree bark, rusted fabric (calico, white vinegar and PaperArtsy Rust
Powder), Idea-ology Tiny Attacher, Prima wax cord
Instructions
After
applying Grunge Paste to postcard panel, heat dry, then apply the Infusions,
generously misting with water and allowing colours to drip.
A
note:- I also like to sprinkle the Infusions onto my craft sheet if I know I am
using the Infusions beyond staining the substrate.
At this
stage, stain strips of calico with the Infusions and water. Excess moisture can
be removed by sandwiching the calico between kitchen paper.
Cut
tree bark to size suitable for the stamped focal. Paint the dry Infusion
crystals onto the butterfly then mist with water. Stamp onto the tree bark. I
defined the butterfly with Black Knight and lightly stained the surrounding area
with The Sage and Lemoncello. If you like your stamped images to be perfect
then I would probably suggest not to stamp with Infusions onto such a textured
surface as tree bark.
Partially
ink up sentiment, stamping onto a smaller panel of tree bark. Punch a hole,
threading throw wax cord.
Assemble
the panel, gathering the stamped panels, Gypsy Cord, scraps of stained tree
bark and rusted fabric and not forgetting the Infusions stained calico.
Until
next time, when I cannot promise that I will not be, once again, dipping into
Infusions!
