This week I have returned to the new Finnabair moulds for another non-paper make. I hope you like it.

The base of this make is an 8" square canvas that I primed with black Primer Paste I before adding some Modeling Paste through the new Theater Night stencil.

Next I covered the canvas with Patina Blue and Patina Green Antiquing Gels before wiping back the still wet surface with a damp cloth.

I then lightly brushed gold metallic wax over the canvas picking out the details of the stencilling and some of the texture of the canvas. 

Having created the background I then added copper wax to the frames and clockwork sparrow resin pieces and adhered them centrally on the canvas (see previous layout). 

 

The bottles were painted with the Turquoise and Mint paints from the Patina Effect Paint Set and once dry distressed with Black Antiquing Gel, again wiping back the wet gel leaving it only in the recesses of the pieces. The "cog" and "mandala" elements were painted with the Turquoise Blue paint from the Patina Effect set and again distressed with black Antiquing Gel. I then added some white gold wax to the bottles. The vintage lady was painted with Mint from the Patina Effect set, distressed with black Antiquing Gel and then details highlighted with white gold wax - gold would give a slightly brighter effect but would look equally nice.

I then adhered all of the pieces to the canvas as shown using scraps of MDF to build height under the face so that it was stable when attached. Finally I added some chipboard words from my stash.
