Down by the Sea by Helen Chilton

I've been playing around with some of the Stamperia Blue Dream paper and fabric this week.
I used the 8x8 paper but I'm sure you could make something similar with the 12x12 - just alter the images or sizes slightly.
Cover a large card tag (I used the size 10 tag as a template) with your chosen fabric.

Then take the door image and cut it so that it opens.

Choose the image you want to go underneath and stick the door onto it with foam pads.
Sorry the pic's a little blurry here - I must have joggled the camera!

Stick to the tag.

I've added machine stitching. If you haven't got a machine, you could add faux stitching with this stencil. Once you've stitched, you can mount it onto an MDF tag.

I've attached a strip of the fabric to the bottom.

Then, using glue dots, I made it into a soft pleated strip.

I've added shell buttons, colouring them in black with a marker pen.

Add the wording and a couple more buttons. The string is untwisted to add volume.

I've used a small brad as a door knob and added some more text.

Here's the inside.

It was fun making this. The Stamperia papers have everything - backgrounds, text, tags, smaller images etc. In fact you're spoilt for choice!

Hope you've enjoyed this too.

Helen
